Server Co-location
When a server must always be up and connected, Airfire provides the best co-location environment in Atlantic Canada. Direct fibre to all Canadian Internet backbones provides unparalleled, multi-homed connectivity. Our Network Operations Centre is fully redundant with both utility and diesel generator power. The generator has a multi-week oil supply ensuring constant operation through extended outages. We have dual HVAC systems plus dual sources of chilled water to supply the HVAC systems. The facility is protected with an inert gas fire suppression system. The security system cameras record all entries and exits and only escorted access is permitted. Environmental, connectivity, power and facility metrics are actively monitored and measured to maintain the operational parameters.
Servers can be provided by the customer or by Airfire. We can also offer data backup, monitoring (CPU load, disk usage, response time), system administration, security patches, firewalls and other server management services. Airfire can accommodate intensive usage on both a shared access and a priority bandwidth basis. Notification for cancellation of service must be provided 30 days in advance.
